POLICE are investigating the sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman who may have had her drink spiked at a pub in Wollongong, south of Sydney.
Police said the woman was out with friends at a pub early on Thursday morning when a man bought her a drink.
The woman remembered dancing for a short time at the pub and then waking up about 3.45am to find the man assaulting her.
She made it to Memorial Park at Corrimal and a friend took her to Wollongong Police Station.
She was later taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment, police said in a statement.
Police are examining the possibility that the woman's drink was spiked.
